John Maciver & Sons provide an excellent lifting services. We are able to provide our customers with a contract lift service to ease pressure and ensure that the lift runs smoothly.
Contract Lift Services
John Maciver & Sons will take the responsibility for the hire, and provide all risk assessments and lift plan drawings. They will ensure that all health and safety regulations are adhered to. A fully qualified and competent crane driver will be provided along with a fully qualified and competent signaller/slinger. The Appointed person for the job will be experienced and have a full understanding of lifting operations.
Crane and Driver Hire
We will hire a fully serviced and inspected crane along with a competent and qualified driver. It is the responsibility of the hirer to adhere to health and safety and arrange paperwork and provide a competent/qualified banksman. The hirer should ensure that adequate insurance is arranged to cover loss/damage to our plant and the goods being lifted and any additional charges that may arise from any damage to our plant, and also for any injuries that may arise from the cranes operation.
Lorry Hire
As well as our cranes, we have Hiab Lorries, Beavertail Lorries and an Artic lorry/Low Loader in our fleet that can be used for transportation.
Welfare Facility Hire
We have a selection of welfare units and portable toilets on the island. Please contact us for availability and pricing.
Container Hire
We have a selection of different sized containers on the island.
Vacuum Tanker
We have a 1000l and 3000L tanker available.
Plant Hire
Or sister company Hebridean Plant Ltd has a vast selection of self drive plant and tool hire available. This includes Excavator hire, Telehandler hire, Dumpers, Road Rollers and MEWP hire and much more. You can contact them directly for any plant and tool hire requirements.
They are also based in Stornoway at our Marybank Depot.
